Does my teen need to know that I'm using TeenSafe?
Every parent's situation is unique and only a parent can decide whether to inform their teen of their intent to use the www.TeenSafe.com monitoring service and TeenSafe Monitor. Many parents choose to tell their teen that they're using TeenSafe, and disclosure to teens is recommended by TeenSafe. In California, or where the interpretation of privacy laws with respect to parental monitoring is not settled, TeenSafe is exploring ways in which the monitoring service can provide notice to teens.

TeenSafe has helped me to have honest discussions with my daughter about her life. Being able to monitor her online interactions gives me peace of mind as a parent. I now know that she appreciates the consequences of her actions online.— Mother of a teen daughter.
TeenSafe is a great tool for us. We’re able to openly monitor our daughter’s online life. We’re teaching her how to communicate with us about issues in her life when they happen rather than waiting for us to find out later. Taking her phone away was simply not an option.— Parents of a teen daughter
Providing my kids with a smartphone was a natural step in granting them greater independence. But, I wanted to be able to make sure they were making smart decisions online. TeenSafe gave me that ability.— Mother of two pre-teens.
